Short-term housing
We have nearly 200 Transitional Housing properties across the Loddon Mallee region in areas including Bendigo, Castlemaine, Echuca, Gisborne, Kerang, Kyneton, Macedon, Maryborough, Mildura, Robinvale, Romsey, Swan Hill and Woodend.
Our tenants range from youth to the elderly and are referred to us by various welfare and support agencies.
Many have experienced or are dealing with domestic violence, mental health, drug and alcohol, behavioural and other issues which hinder their chances of finding permanent housing.
We also work with young people leaving state care, youths exiting the Malmsbury and Melbourne youth justice centres and men with behavioural issues who are hoping to reconcile with their families and move back into the family home.
If you are referred to the THM program, a property manager will work with you and relevant support agencies to ensure you receive the help you need and to support your transition from short term to permanent housing.
Ideally, your tenancy in a THM property will be less than 120 days as we explore all possible avenues to secure you a safe, affordable and permanent home.
Rents are calculated according to Office of Housing guidelines and the tenancy agreement and tenants rights are in line with The Residential Tenancies Act (1997).
